HR Generalist II
Job Profile Summary
The HR generalist II is responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with the HR business partner to support designated college and administrative units, including:
- Assisting the the HR business partner with offboarding, performance management, recruitment, policy interpretation, workforce planning activities and employee relations.
- Serving as a Workday expert, entering and approving department-related transactions into Workday on a daily basis. With advanced expertise in Workday and other related systems, this individual will mentor and guide HRG I as well as provide additional training and support for newly hired HRGs.
- Engaging in the implementation of the OHR’s strategic plan and continuous improvement initiatives.
An HR generalist II should be able to:
- Demonstrate proficient and comprehensive knowledge of defined skill areas. Apply knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of a particular field of specialization to complete difficult assignments.
- Promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse staff members.
- Interpret and communicate information, ideas and instructions clearly, accurately and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, including materials intended for distribution.
- Incorporate new facts and ideas into group processes and apply creative thinking to develop new solutions.
- Work with minimal supervision on difficult assignments, consulting with their supervisor or HR business partner on unusual matters.
